Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Subscription Model

PelagoPass Premium is a recurring subscription billed monthly or annually (depending on the plan you selected). Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.

2. Cancellation

You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time through:

  • Your Account Settings page within PelagoPass, or
  • The Stripe Customer Portal, accessible from your account settings.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to Premium features until that date. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan.

3. Refunds

As a general rule, subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. This is because access to the full Premium feature set is granted immediately upon payment.

Exceptions — we will issue a full refund if:

  • You contact us within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase and have not made significant use of Premium features.
  • A technical fault on our side caused you to be charged incorrectly or prevented you from accessing a paid feature.
  • Applicable consumer law in your jurisdiction grants you a statutory right to a refund (e.g., the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 14-day cooling-off period for digital services, where the right has not been waived).

Refunds are processed via Stripe and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days.

4. Charity Contributions

PelagoPass donates 10% of its total monthly Premium revenue to charity on the 28th of each month. This is a business-level payment made by PelagoPass — it is not deducted from your individual subscription, and no portion of your fee is held in trust for a charity on your behalf.

Because charity payments are calculated and disbursed at a business level on a fixed monthly schedule, they cannot be reversed once made, regardless of whether your subscription is subsequently cancelled or refunded. If you receive a refund for your subscription, that refund comes entirely from PelagoPass — the charity payment for the relevant month is unaffected.

5. Free Plan

The Free plan is free of charge and has no refund implications. Downgrading from Premium to Free is handled via the standard cancellation process described above.

6. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email support@pelagopass.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and include:

  • The email address associated with your PelagoPass account.
  • The date of the charge you are querying.
  • A brief reason for your request.

We aim to respond within 2 business days.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated by email.
